Questions about France to Tunisia
Road is door to door and suits urgent or smaller loads; a container by sea is often cheaper for full loads. We compare both in your quote. See Air, ocean or road: choosing the right route.
Industrial goods of EU origin can enter Tunisia without customs duty under the EU–Tunisia Association Agreement, when a valid proof of origin comes with them. Other goods and taxes such as VAT follow their own rules; we show them separately in the quote.
Yes. We organise exports from Tunisia to France by sea, road and air, with the export documents checked before departure. See Shipping from Tunisia to the EU: the document checklist.
By sea, usually about 4 to 6 days from Marseille to Radès, with several sailings a week; by road, it depends on the place of collection. We confirm the transit time and the next sailing with your quote, and keep you updated at every stage.
Documents and proof of origin
For goods from France, Tunisian customs usually ask for the commercial invoice, the packing list and the transport document (bill of lading by sea, CMR consignment note by road). For goods of EU origin, an EUR.1 certificate or an origin declaration on the invoice lets you claim the preferential duty rate where it applies.
Ask your supplier for the proof of origin before the goods leave: it is much harder to obtain afterwards. Our guide Incoterms 2020 explained shows who arranges which formality, depending on the rule you agree.
