Questions about the port of Sfax

Why ship via Sfax rather than Radès?

For goods to or from the centre and the south, Sfax saves the road trip to and from Tunis, and it can be quicker when Radès is congested. Fewer lines call at Sfax, so we compare both ports in your quote.

There are direct lines to Turkish ports such as Izmir, Istanbul and Gemlik; from other origins the container usually changes ship in a Mediterranean port. We confirm the sailing with your quote. See Sea freight from Turkey to Tunisia.

Yes: the export declaration, the documents your buyer needs, such as the EUR.1 certificate for the EU, and the loading. See Shipping from Tunisia to the EU: the document checklist.

Sfax also handles bulk and general cargo. Tell us the size and weight of your goods and we find the right way to ship them. See Special services.

Exporting from the south of Tunisia

Many exporters of olive oil, dates and other farm and industrial goods are in the region of Sfax. Shipping from the nearest port saves time and road transport: we collect at your premises, clear the goods for export and load them at Sfax. Our guide Exporting olive oil from Sfax gives a full example.

When the next sailing from Sfax does not suit your date, we compare a departure from Radès in the same quote.
