Questions about Germany to Tunisia

Can you ship heavy machinery or oversized parts?

Yes. We arrange the right equipment, such as flat racks or open-top containers, and the permits and handling it needs. See our special services for project and oversized cargo.

Industrial goods of EU origin can enter Tunisia without customs duty under the EU–Tunisia Association Agreement, when a valid proof of origin comes with them. Other goods and taxes such as VAT follow their own rules; we show them separately in the quote.

Usually about 2 to 3 weeks from port to port, as the container changes ship in a Mediterranean port on the way. We confirm the transit time and the next sailing with your quote, and keep you updated at every stage.

For valuable goods we recommend it: the carrier’s liability is limited by weight, not by value. Our guide Cargo insurance: why carrier liability is not enough explains why. Insurance is available on request.

Documents and proof of origin

For goods from Germany and Northern Europe, Tunisian customs usually ask for the commercial invoice, the packing list and the bill of lading, plus certificates for regulated goods. For goods of EU origin, an EUR.1 certificate or an origin declaration on the invoice lets you claim the preferential duty rate where it applies.

Used machinery and some equipment may need extra documents or approvals in Tunisia. Tell us what you ship when you ask for a quote, and we check the file before your supplier ships. Our guide Customs clearance: keeping your goods moving explains each step.
